Waking up the Lowcountry for 11 years, Tessa Spencer and Baby J pride themselves on the relationship that they have built with their listeners in such a short period of time. If its happening in the community, they let you know. If there’s something involving children and their education, they aren’t afraid to talk about it. From things that are important to family and community to the “fun” things that keep you entertained, it is part of the equation that makes up “Da Breakfuss Club Morning Show”.
Tessa, a Charleston, SC native, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Charleston Southern University. Her career has taken her to radio markets in Greenville, SC and Nashville, TN where she also became a member of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans Cheerleading squad. No stranger to television as well, she has appeared in billboard campaigns and television commercials and has lent her voice on a national level as television announcer for the Stellar Gospel Awards show.
Baby J hails from Louisburg, NC and received his Bachelor of Arts degree also in Mass Communications from Winston-Salem State University. His start in radio came as a young adult when schoolboy antics landed him in the principal’s office. His punishment- reading the school announcement’s over the P.A. system! His radio career has included stints in Greensboro and Raleigh, NC.
The future looks bright for the duo as among their daily duties, they currently host the syndicated “Da Bassment Party Weekend Countdown” heard in Charleston; Providence, Rhode Island; Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana. Their hopes are that their morning show will soon be next on the list to become global. In the meantime, for a fun and informative start to your day, wake up to Da Breakfuss Club with Tessa and Baby J. Oh, and Lil Herbert, too!
