Drake, Jay-Z Land on "Billboard's" "Top Money Makers" List

Which musicians hauled in the most cold hard cash in the past 12 months?  According to Billboard, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen topped the list, but Drake and Jay-Z were included, too.

Billboard tallied the annual earnings of music's top names -- including tour revenue, digital music sales, streaming and subscription revenue -- and found that artists normally earn the most money from playing live.  That was certainly a factor behind why Drizzy and Jay made the cut.

Drake earned $9,504,992.38 over the past twelve months, according to Billboard, and much of that came from strong sales of his sophomore album, Take Care.  According to Billboard, the November 2011 release produced multiple hit singles, which contributed to Drake's $1.6 million in digital track sales.

As for Jay-Z, he earned $7,011,905.17.  Of that amount, $4.7 million came from Jay's Watch the Throne tour dates with Kanye West.
