(SYDNEY) -- Russell Crowe was disturbed to have witnessed what he apparently believes was a possible UFO in the skies above his offices in Woolloomooloo near Sydney, Australia.  The Les Miserables star even took a series of photos, which he posted on Twitter.

The actor captioned his time-lapsed sequence of a mysterious crimson flash with: “UFO? Time Lapse Photos Outside RC’s Woolloomooloo Office (THESE ARE REAL!).”

Crowe points out he’s convinced the phenomenon was not a camera flash because his Canon 5D isn’t equipped with one; it also can’t be a lens flare, he says, because the camera was fixed.

A video of the sequence, posted on YouTube, has a number of fan comments with suggestions that Crowe may have seen the lights of a conventional aircraft, a helicopter, a car or a yacht. There are also several slightly less-helpful comments.
